Courses

The CBS offers courses and training to students and guest workers, as well as participation in lectures and instruction at other institutes or universities.
The CBS courses are open to participants from the Netherlands and abroad.
Lectures are given in English but several other languages are spoken.

University students can follow specialized programs in addition to the courses. The CBS has also a - limited - possibility for guest workers in basic or specialized training programs, usually in cooperation with one of the CBS taxonomists. Such study visits can vary from a one-day excursion and demonstration tour to a stay lasting several years to prepare a thesis. Study visits of more than one week are possible only under special conditions and are always arranged and supervised by a special guest committee. Usually a bench fee is charged in such cases and extra costs may arise for identifications carried out by CBS staff.
