Filamentous fungi strain database
Search database
The database contains data on more than 38,000 strains in the CBS collection, and,
through the Index Fungorum partnership, data on
more than 380,000 names. We thank everyone who supplied us with data for our database.
Please check the list of contributors, also on how
to contribute yourself. List of new strains will show you a list of strains that have been added to the public collection
during the last two months
Yeasts strain database
Search database
Powered by the new web version of the BioloMICS software, this newly designed database
contains data on about 6,500 strains available from the CBS collection as well as
up to 900 yeasts species descriptions (regularly updated). A taxonomic database
of more than 23,500 names and a bibliographic database of about 10,000 records are
available. Online basic and advanced searches, strains ordering and deposit as well
as DNA sequences alignments and polyphasic identifications (including
morphology, physiology and/or DNA sequences) can also be performed. Check the "Information"
section for citations and help on the u (including morphology, physiology and/or DNA
sequences) can also be performed. Check the "Information" section for citations
and help on the use of the software.

Search database This database contains data on about 1,200 strains available from the CBS Actinomycetes
collection.
The Colletotrichum database
Search database
This database contains molecular and morphological data of Colletotrichuim species. The database will be updated as typifications are completed and new taxa are discovered.
Aphyllophorales database
Search database
This database contains taxonomic and nomenclatural data on the Aphyllophorales.
It contains more than 30,000 names.
Fusarium database
Search database
This database contains taxonomic and nomenclatural data about taxa from the genus
Fusarium. It contains more than 1,500 names.
Q-bank Fungi database
Search database
The Q-bank Fungi database contains DNA sequence (barcodes), morphological, phenotypical and ecological data of more than 250 species that are of relevance to mycological phytopathology. Currently, the database focuses on members, especially those of quarantine importance to Europe, of the fungal genera Phoma and associated genera, Colletotrichum, Mycosphaerella and its anamorphs, Monilinia, Ceratocystis, Stenocarpella and the Oomycete genus Phytophthora. Besides plant pathogens these genera also contain many opportunistic and saprophytic organisms. For correct identification of the causal agent of a disease, it is important that one can distinguish between these different organisms. The database contains polyphasic identification keys for selected species from these different genera.
Anamorph-Teleomorph database
Search database
This database, formerly on-line at the University of Alberta, is now maintained
by CBS. It contains more than 7,000 names.

Index Fungorum aims to provide a complete list of fungal names. It is currently
co-ordinated and supported by a partnership consisting of CABI Bioscience,
CBS and Landcare Research.
The CD-ROM software allows fast offline searches of the CBS, CABI and NCCB databases,
as well as ordering of strains.
